Antigua and Barbuda: American Airlines B737MAX8 landed at VC Bird International Airport of Antigua and Barbuda today. The flight marked the non-stop daily service from John F Kennedy International Airport of New York City to the destination.

Antigua and Barbuda welcomed two aircraft of American Airlines on the same day and the second one was the AA2582 which arrived at the destination from New York. The flight touched down at the airport thirty minutes ahead of the scheduled arrival time.

Notably, American Airlines expanded its daily New York service to Antigua and Barbuda in the Summer of 2022 in order to cater to the demand of tourists. Through the new schedule, the airline provided seven new flights a week from August 16, 2022.

According to the tourism sector, the service of the seven flights marked the potential of the destination for attracting tourists from the international market. It further added that the demand for the flights has surged with which they have to provide significant service to the tourists so that they could visit Antigua and Barbuda more seamlessly.

Besides this, the airline also announced the expansion of the service to Antigua and Barbuda for the upcoming Summer of 2024. The service will start on June 5, 2024, with the introduction of the second daily nonstop flight from Miami to Antigua.

The service will be extended until September 3, 2024, aiming to meet the growing demand for flights to Antigua and Barbuda during the summer months. It will also align with the efforts of the tourism authority to bolster airlift into the destination and sustain business during the peak season.

Antigua and Barbuda is known as one of the best destinations for honeymoon due to its several exciting offerings, including the natural wonders. The travellers visited the country to explore such an environment which could provide peace and tranquility.

The success of the US market has made the country put more effort into sustaining flights and generating interest among travellers. The tourism authority added that the additional airlift would be helpful in meeting the rising demand and aiming to surpass the number of arrivals from the benchmark year 2019.
