St Kitts and Nevis: Agri-Christmas Night Market 2023 is all set to return to St Kitts and Nevis on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Basseterre Public Market. The festival is another time of year when the agriculture and festive vibes collide with each other.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives, in collaboration with the Ministry of Small Business Entrepreneurship, will host the Night Market 2023. The event will feature the Watermelon Eating Competition and Egg Eating Competition.

Registration for the night market has opened. The vendors, meat producers, fisheries and agro-processors who are interested in securing their spot early at the Agri-Christmas Night Market. Admission to the night market is free.

The Night Market will feature specials on local eggs, fantastic prices for organic fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, meat, seafood, fruit cake, sorrel, mauby, guava cheese, black pudding, bull-foot soup and much more.

The entertainment will be given by Dj Sugar Bowl and the Reigning Road March Champs: The Grand Masters Band.

The agri-market will feature:

The agri-market will provide a platform for the farmers to showcase their products and promote the agriculture activities of St Kitts and Nevis.

The market is the initiative of the ministry to uplift the sector and modernise the techiques of farming. It will also educate the farmers about the new skills and techniques to make farmers understand advanced forumulas.

Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture also hosted its first annual country fair day at the Mansion Playfield on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The exhibition will feature a showcase of the animals with rabbits, turtles, pigs, sheep and goats.

It also saw a piglet-catching competition along with the crowd’s favourite donkey race.
