9,323 Dominicans receive their second dose of COVID vaccine

According to the statistics, till now, a total of 9,323 people have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Dominica: The situation of the COVID-19 virus in Dominica is now well- controlled and people are getting their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. According to the statistics, till now, a total of 9,323 people have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Prime Minister of Dominica- Roosevelt Skerrit shared this data on the coronavirus COVID-19 report with the Dominicans on Wednesday, 28 April.

According to the Reports-

  • As of now, there are currently two active cases of COVID-19 in Dominica
  • Total number of people recovered – 172
  • Real confirmed COVID-19 cases- 174
  • Dominicans who received their first dose of the vaccine- 18,498
  • Dominicans who received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine- 9,323
  • Number of contacts under investigation- 0
  • Number of citizens in GOCD quarantine- 34
  • Total number of contacts cleared- 974
  • Total number of contacts identified- 974
  • Total number of citizens who have been tested- 14936
  • Number of negative COVID-19 results- 14762

Worldwide, there are a total of 150,356,672 active COVID-19 cases, whereas 127,885,774 people have been recovered from the virus, and a total of 3,167,010 people have died because of the mutant. 

This data on COVID-19 was provided by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment of Commonwealth of Dominica.

On the post of PM Skerrit, the citizens of Dominica commented in which they appreciated the efforts of the government in tackling the pandemic and thanked their Prime Minister.

The current situation of the COVID-19 virus is getting more worse in many countries. The government of Dominica has done a great job in controlling this COVID-19 pandemic, the two active cases of COVID-19 mutant in Dominica is proof of this.

Besides this, The World Travel and Tourism Council has awarded ‘Safe Travels Stamp’ to the Commonwealth of Dominica which comforts that the destination’s health and safety protocols meet globally accepted standards.
