St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis and Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement made a blunt statement against current Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris that 73 percent of the elected representative of Parliament in St Kitts and Nevis do not support him.
Remarking on the prevailing political scenario of the Federation, Mark Brantley emphasized that out of eleven elected representatives, Dr Timothy Harris is the only person who supported himself to remain Prime Minister. However, no one from the other parliamentarians displayed favour in him and eight out of them have shown no-confidence motion and straightforwardly rejected Dr Harris as a Prime Minister, Brantley added.
Premier noted, “So of 11 ELECTED members as determined by you the voters, we have 1 in favour of Dr. Timothy Harris (himself), 2 whose position I don’t know, and 8 who say tarl, not Dr. Harris. Put differently, 73% of elected members do NOT support Dr Timothy Harris.”
He further quoted the governor-general’s replies to the letter written by the People’s Action Movement and Concerned Citizens Movement in context to present a no-confidence motion in Dr Timothy Harris. In the letter, a total of six parliamentarians showed their disapproval of the current Prime Minister and demanded the resolution of the government of the Federation. But in the response, the governor-general declined to act on the concerns of the aforementioned leaders.
While condemning the action taken by the governor-general, Mark Brantley stated, “In these circumstances, the Governor-General has said he cannot act.”
He also expressed that, In fact, the ONLY elected representative who currently commands a majority of support is the Hon Shawn Richards, who has the support in the writing of 6 ELECTED members delivered to the Governor-General.
Through his recent post on social media, the Leader of CCM also expressed his prediction on the Motion of no-confidence when it is presented in the Parliament. He added that the country is waiting for the presentation of the no-confidence Motion in the national Parliament of the Federation.
“The Nation is in limbo and awaits the date for the Motion of No Confidence in the National Parliament,” underlined Brantley.
His post on social media was like that:

Dr Timothy Harris Absent (Bathroom Break)
Brantley claimed that Dr. Timothy Harris will be absent while showing his concern by making an excuse for a bathroom break.
He further recalled the meaning and responsibility of the position of the Prime Minister and stated that under the constitution, the title “Prime Minister” is a special and powerful position reserved for the elected representative who commands the support of the MAJORITY of ELECTED members.
“So I understand the Federal Cabinet is being called to order by the elected representative for Constituency 7 the Hon Dr Timothy Harris. The chair of Cabinet is usually the Prime Minister,” Brantley underscored.
Besides this, the Leaders of CCM also outlined their analysis of the current political situation of St Kitts and Nevis. He said so let’s do an analysis:

Brantley advised Nevisians to remain focused as they are not for sale while noting, “My advice to Nevisians is to stay focused. My advice to my friends in NRP is don’t let any paymaster in St Kitts tell you which candidates you can run. Nevisians are NOT for sale. My advice to CCM is to #Increase The Momentum.”
He further described the situation in his wordings and expressed, “Night run till morning ketch um and as sure as night follows day we will have an election very soon. When that happens, some will discover that money, no matter how much, can never trump principle, and those who covet power above all else will surely lose it.”
