Roseau, Dominica: An incident of drowning has been reported in the Commonwealth of Dominica. On Saturday, April 2, 2022, a German tourist who was on a trip to the country has lost his life after diving in Calibishie, Dominica.
The officials have identified the victim, who was 69-year-old Uwe Muller, and as per the official reports, he came to Dominica to celebrate his vaccination on the “Nature Island”.
Police were informed by the local residents at around 1:00 pm on Saturday about the incident. When the police reached the incident spot, they have found an unresponsive body of the German tourist.
Further, the diving partners of Mullar also informed that his friend at once complained of feeling uncomfortable while driving. However, he was rescued by a nearby resident at the beach of the Caribbean country when the 69-year-old screamed for help and became helpless and in the end lifeless.
After getting failed in the rescue attempt, he was eventually declared dead after finding him not breathing. The police officials of the commonwealth of Dominica informed that the investigation into matters has been started. They have also assured that a thorough probe will be conducted.
Further, the drowning incident of the German tourist is reportedly a third incident that was occurred in Dominica since 2022 has started.
There were four incidents reported in the country before the drowning incident of the German tourist.
