44.6% of people receive their first dose of COVID vaccine in SKN

The Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis island, - Dr Timothy Harris, has stated that around 44.6 per cent of individuals have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the nation.

Saint Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis island,– Dr Timothy Harris, has stated that around 44.6 per cent of individuals have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the nation.

On the other hand, according to the COVID-19 vaccination report shared by PM Harris, as of Wednesday, 19 May 2021, around 13.8 per cent of people have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The report further affirms that a total of 19,320 doses were administered in St Kitts and Nevis, out of which 14,433 doses were administered in St Kitts and 4,887 doses in Nevis island. A total of 4,572 individuals have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.

PM Harris congratulated those who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and urged others to get themselves vaccinate too. He shared this information via his Facebook page.

PM Harris stated, “Every day, our nationals move forward and get themselves inoculated against the dangerous Coronavirus. Congratulations to the 44.6 per cent who have taken their first dose. Herd immunity is achievable if we all act responsibly. Vaccinate now. Protect yourself. Let’s put our economy on a firmer path of recovery.”

The twin-island reported 45 COVID-19 cases and all 45 individuals have been recovered from the COVID-19 virus. Till now, no death has been reported in St Kitts and Nevis amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
