42.5% SKN population is fully vaccinated now 

A total of 42.5 per cent (that is 14,047) of the population of the Saint Kitts and Nevis island has received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and are fully vaccinated against the deadly mutant as of 25 June 2021.

This COVID-19 vaccination data was shared by the Health Ministry in the COVID-19 vaccination report. 

As per the report, in total, 36,632 doses have been administered on the SKN sister island, out of which a total of 28,241 doses have been administered in St Kitts, and around 8,391 doses have been administered on the Nevis island. 

While a total of 68.5 per cent of the population of St Kitts and Nevis has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of 25 June 2021. 

The sister island slowly is moving to achieve the herd immunity target of COVID-19 vaccination. No new COVID-19 cases are reported on the twin islands on 25 June 2021. 

According to the statistics, so far, since the pandemic began, the sister island has reported a total of 425 COVID-19 cases, out of which around 98 patients recovered from the deadly mutant. 

Till now, a total of three deaths have been reported in SKN due to the COVID-19 deadly virus. 

The schedule for the COVID-19 vaccination centres was also released by the government a few days back for the health centres, which is as follows- 

  • Saturday – 26 June 2021 – 9 am to 4 pm 
  • Sunday – 27 June 2021 – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Monday – 28 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm
  • Tuesday – 29 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm
  • Wednesday -30 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm

To tackle the increasing rate of the COVID-19 cases, the government of the twin-islands has announced a state of emergency which would be in effect till 6 July 2021.
