39.7% SKN population is fully vaccinated 

A total of 13,111 individuals (which is around 39.7 per cent) population of the St Kitts and Nevis have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine as of 24 June 2021 and are fully vaccinated now.

Where as a total of 68.3 per cent of the total population has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as per the coronavirus vaccination report by the Health Ministry of the sister islands. 

The vaccination report further informs that a total of 35,659 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered on St Kitts and Nevis, out of which around 27,338 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered on St Kitts. In comparison, about 8,321 coronavirus doses were administered on Nevis island as of 24 June 2021. 

According to the novel coronavirus statistics, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the island has reported a total of 425 cases of the deadly virus, out of which around 98 individuals have been recovered from the dangerous mutant. 

So far, the island has reported three deaths because of the COVID-19 mutant. 

Amid the novel coronavirus cases on the island, the government of St Kitts and Nevis last week announced a state of emergency till 6 July 2021. 

Recently, the government has also announced the schedule for the COVID-19 vaccination, which is as follows- 

  • Friday – 25 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm
  • Saturday – 26 June 2021 – 9 am to 4 pm 
  • Sunday – 27 June 2021 – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Monday – 28 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm
  • Tuesday – 29 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm
  • Wednesday -30 June 2021 – 11 am to 4 pm

The government has urged its citizens to take their dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and follow the health protocols in order to defeat the deadly virus.
