Dominica: Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit talked about foreign affairs of his country in his special show “ Annou Pale “ with Dr. Kenneth Darroux, Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations & Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with specific responsibility for Diaspora Relations, Edward Registe.
In the show, Dr. Kenneth Darroux notified that last week he received the AstraZeneca vaccine & he didn’t felt any severe side effects; with this, he also acknowledged the health system of Dominica.
Replying to the PM Skerrit on the current business situation in Dominica, Edward said that many investments are coming, 475,000 $ has been invested in different sectors.
He also notified that country is investing a lot in the sporting field across the country to encourage.
He also thanked FIFA for 150000, and that used up now govt making available close to half of a $1000000 to complete the Plainfield.
He also added that besides of that number of projects are ongoing; we have the Grand Health Centre.
He also assured that soon the country would see a lot of improvements in the different sectors, especially the health sectors.
“We also invested 2 Million dollars for the construction of major cult leading to Grande & I can tell you that project is moving very well , we praised the contactor Mr . Alexander from Grande itself number of persons get employment, there, and that is moving very well .” noted Edward Registe.
Edward Registe further pointed out that 3 Million dollars being invested for the refurbishing of the Grande primary school & that I’m also very happy about this & it’s my alma matter and that school constructed 50 years ago had been battered by many natural disasters, including Hurricane David and so many of us went to school here.
He emphasized,” We are very contented and happy that we are seeing the refurbishing of that school and it will be used for kids between the kindergarten to Grade six, But we are hoping for that know if adults will also be able to come and access educational opportunities at the school of course, like every other .”
