The lawyers stated that he was kidnapped by the Antigua and India police in the Jolly Harbour as he was travelling to have dinner with Babara Jarabica in his car. Lawyers continue to focus that the abduction was done with the cooperation of Indian and Antigua police. They said he was taken to Dominica through seaways – where he reportedly was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The whole story presents a one-sided angle, which has not been validated by any of the officials of the investigation teams, including Dominica and Antigua police and only considered by the lawyers of Mehul Choksi. Police sources reported no evidence of the alleged story told by lawyers, nor is there any materialistic
evidence like CCTV camera footage or eyewitnesses of the scene.

As the story unfolds, it is getting more and more complicated to solve. Dominica police have said that they are investigating the matter, and it is too early to believe any of the stories roaming across media and the internet. While Dominica’s High Court has restrained Choksi’s extradition and given next date of 2 June, 2021 for hearing.
