Bahamas government: Till now, 50,242 doses of COVID vaccine administered

The government of the Bahamas shared the data regarding COVID vaccination that states that a total of 50,242 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine have been administered on the island and residents of New Providence, Grand Bahama and throughout the family islands.

Bahamas: The government of the Bahamas shared the data regarding COVID vaccination that states that a total of 50,242 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine have been administered on the island and residents of New Providence, Grand Bahama and throughout the family islands.

Till 21 May 2021, a total of 44,226 individuals have received their first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on the Bahamas and its family islands.

The data further states that a total of 6,016 individuals have received both doses and are fully vaccinated.

According to the data shared by the government of the Bahamas-

  • In New Providence, a total of 32,631 individuals have received their first dose, and a total of 4,893 individuals have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated.
  • In Exuma, a total of 832 doses have been administered.
  • In Berry Islands, a total of 289 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Acklins, a total of 64 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Andros, a total of 552 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Cat Island, a total of 201 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Crooked Island, a total of 21 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Bimini, a total of 398 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Inagua, a total of 129 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Mayaguyana, a total of 18 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Rum Cay, a total of 11 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Abaco, a total of 874 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Long Island, a total of 324 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
  • In Grand Bahama, a total of 6,381 individuals have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and a total of 1,123 individuals have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated
  • and in San Salvador, a total of doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered

There are a total of 11,396 COVID-19 cases have been reported on the Bahamas island out of which 10,221 individuals have been recovered from the deadly virus, and the island has a death rate of 222 due to the virus.
