St Kitts and Nevis: Cricketer – Dwayne Bravo has now left Trinbago Knight Riders and joined Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots ahead of the upcoming Hero CPL tournament as TKR- Trinbago Knight Riders have traded the cricketer.
In an official statement- TKR- Trinbago Knight Riders announced that on the request of Dwayne Bravo- West Indies All-Rounder, they agreed to trade him to St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. In return, cricketer- Denesh Ramdin of Saint Kitts and Nevis would be joining TKR-Trinbago Knight Riders.
On joining St Kitts and Nevis Patriots,
cricketer- DJ Bravo/ Dwayne Bravo stated, “At this stage in my career, I needed a new challenge which is to work with the young talent for the benefit of Cricket West Indies. ”
“Also becoming a part of new franchise that is- SKNP- St Kitts and Nevis Patriots would provide me with a new challenge in the CPL tournament. ”
DJ Bravo further thanked TKR for respecting his decision and asserted, “I want to thank TKR- Trinbago Knight Riders for respecting my wishes and for all the support TKR has provided me over the years. I also appreciate everything they have done for Trinidad and Tobago.”
On trading DJ Bravo – Director of TKR- Venky Mysore, while making a statement stated, “Dwayne Bravo has been instrumental in not only building TKR into a champion team but also has been lead the team as a captain and earned three championships in the years- 2015, 2017 and 2018. We are feeling sad to see him leaving TKR, but we respect his wishes and desire to help Caribbean region cricket.”
The Hero CPL- Caribbean Premier League,
would take place in Saint Kitts and Nevis island, with all the 33 games to be played in the federation.
The CPL tournament will start on 28 August 2021 with a similar format of games that worked in the 2020 CPL tournament. The CPL tournament of 2020 recorded an audience of more than 500 Million.
