Ministry of health St Kitts and Nevis stated that false news is being spread by people that Nurse Arceo died after taking the coronavirus vaccine.
Health Ministry stated that Nurse Arceo’s unfortunate passing is sad and, contrary to the misrepresentation being spread, is entirely irrelevant to administering the COVID-19 vaccine.
The misinformation being circulated on social media related to her passing is extremely unfortunate and sadly is entirely devoid of the requisite empathy for someone who has given so much in service of our country.
With deep feeling of sadness, the Ministry of Health deeply
sympathizes with the children, especially Nurse Rose-Ann Delacruz and other relatives of Nurse Josephine Arceo from the Philippines.
The death of nurse Arceo has deeply influenced the complete staff of the Ministry of Health, her treating partners and the other members of the local Philippino association. Words alone cannot sufficiently convey the impact of Nurse Arceo’s huge loss on the health care system, particularly in the area of maternal and child health.
Nurse Arceo worked at the maternity unit of the J N F General Hospital for four years as a specialist nurse. The nurse will long be remembered as an avid advocate for pregnant women and mothers and an extremely warm and capable midwife while guiding and caring for women and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and after childbirth, stated the ministry of health St Kitts and Nevis in a press-release.
The Ministry of Health owes it to Nurse Arceo for the important role she played as a midwife and the excellent and invaluable service she rendered to the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
