St Lucia: Saint Lucia is starting its vaccination programme Wednesday 17th February 2021, today Phase 1 of Saint Lucia’s Vaccination Drive. This Phase involves the vaccination of the 1,500 Frontline and Essential workers.
Small Island country St Lucia gets3,000 doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccines from the Government of Barbados, who donated 1,000 doses, and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, who donated 2,000 doses.
The Ministry of Health issued a release seeking input from the public on a vaccine survey.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness is conducting a COVID-19 Vaccine survey to assess people living in Saint Lucia towards the COVID-19 vaccines and determine their willingness to be vaccinated.
The survey uses a modified version of the Pan American Health Organization Vaccine questionnaire.
The Ministry hopes to capture a cross-section of the population aged 18 years and older. The survey will be administered using the Survey Monkey platform. The survey will be distributed through the Digicel and Flow mobile communication platforms from Monday, February 15 to Monday, February 22, 2021.
The survey comprises 29 questions divided into five sections covering your demographics, such as age, gender, and occupation. It also looks at your general attitude towards vaccines, attitude towards influenza vaccines, attitude towards COVID-19 vaccines, and your readiness to accept the COVID-19 vaccine.
PM said,” When you access the survey, you will be presented with a consent form. You must read the consent form, then check the box at the end of the form to agree to take the survey.”
Office of the Prime Minister added in the statement,” Your participation in this COVID-19 vaccination survey is valuable to the Ministry of Health. The information you provide will provide to the Ministry’s communication and education strategy aimed at empowering the people to make informed decisions towards COVID-19 vaccination.”
