Ambassador Amalia Mai, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, has also been named as the Non-Resident Ambassador-Designate to SICA. H.E. Lawrence Sylvestre will continue to serve as Belize’s Non-Resident Ambassador to CARICOM.

This list serves a cross-section of the community and a mix of new and experienced professionals. Notably, 40 percent of the designates are women.

Belize has recorded 12 New Confirmed Cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. 

The country has also recorded 25 New Recovery 1 New Death Reported.

The Ministry of Finance announces that regular gasoline’s pump price will increase by 51 cents from $9.27 to $9.78 per gallon.

The prices for added gasoline, kerosene, and diesel will remain unchanged at $9.89, $6.46, and $8.74 per gallon, respectively.

The price change reflects current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.

The Government of Belize monitors the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.
