  Since tractors for the Tractor Rally are stuck, several farmers have parked themselves on the road. Traffic jam near Jharoda Kalan. Hundreds of tractors from Tikri border are stucked.

11:04 IST- Chaos prevailed at Delhi’s Singhu border as police resorted to lathicharge after protesting farmers broke the remaining police barricades.

India is celebrating their 72nd republic day this year; amid the COVID-19, farmers of India have also scheduled a tractor rally in the national capital Delhi.


10:07 IST – Ahead of their proposed tractor parade on Republic Day, protesting farmer unions on Monday announced they would march towards Parliament from different locations on Feb. 1 when the annual Union Budget is scheduled to be presented. Darshan Pal of the Krantikari Kisan Union said the protesting farmers remain firm in their stand of repealing the three new farm laws, and their agitation will continue till their demands are met.

10:32 IST- Captain Preeti Choudhary of 140 Air Defence Regiment (Self Propelled) leads upgraded Schilka Weapon system. She is the only woman contingent commander from Army at Republic Day parade 2021. Schilka Weapon system is equipped with modern radar and digital fire control computers.

10:37 IST- Farmers covering parade on foot stop for a break. Surinder Singh a farmer from Bathinda. “Tractors are getting stuck in jams, so we decided to walk on foot. Have been walking since 8 AM. Will start again soon till we complete the whole route.”

10:38 IST-Farmer leaders who entered Delhi via the Singhu border give the police 45 minutes to remove all barricades and allow them to continue their march towards the Outer Ring Road in Central Delhi.
