192 new COVID-19 cases reported in T&T, 969 deaths so far

As per the report, there are 5,753 total active cases in the country rise to In comparison, a total of 28,706 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus

In contrast, around 318 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 969 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 15 July 2021. 

According to a total of 104 patients in the step-down facilities, around 138 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,139 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T. 

So far, as of 15 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 229,203 individuals have received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 146,721 individuals have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19. 

If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 247,923 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which 105,525 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 142,398 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus. 

The Health Ministry further informed in their report that the samples of these new 192 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 11 July to 14 July 2021.
