Trinidad and Tobago: The Caribbean island – Trinidad and Tobago have reported 109 new cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 26 July 2021. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago has shared this COVID-19 update report on 26 July 2021.
As per the report, there are 5,894 total active cases in the nation. In comparison, a total of 30,726 individuals have been recovered from the contagious COVID-19 virus.
In contrast, around 309 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the report that a total of 1043 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 26 July 2021.
According to a total of 90 patients in the step-down facilities, around 117 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,386 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
So far, as of 26 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 349,025 individuals have received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 182,400 individuals have received their second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 260,355 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which 109,383 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 150,972 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus.
The Health Ministry further informed in their report that the samples of these new 109 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 22 July to 25 July 2021.
As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 37,663 cases of the deadly virus.
